if music be the food of love, play on

Ibeyi are a French-Cuban band who sing in a mixture of Yoruba and English. Their unique tri-lingual twist tastefully merges culture, deep Cuban and Yoruba rites, and traditional contexts in their music. Such sounds cannot be categorically placed in a genre, because one of such does not exist. There is nothing as powerful as an idea whose time has come and this is the magic timing is made of.

If you have not listened to their whole album already, we strongly suggest you take a chill pill [preferably on a Sunday afternoon] to immerse yourself into a spiritual realm or cleansing, purification, ans self-actualization.
